be careful what you wish you...

well we wished for cold weather & it has been delivered above & beyond any of our expectations.   this is copy & pasted straight off of http://www.weather.com/ for our county.  i find it so amusing. there is also a hard freeze weather warning alert in full affect until tomorrow morning. & it's been like this all week.

**... WIND CHILL ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM EST SATURDAY...

**THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSONVILLE HAS ISSUED A WIND CHILL ADVISORY... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM EST SATURDAY.
**ANOTHER BLAST OF ARCTIC AIR WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA TODAY AS COLD FRONT ADVANCES ACROSS THE AREA. TEMPERATURES ARE FORECAST TO DROP INTO THE MID TO UPPER 20S EARLY SATURDAY MORNING. THE COMBINATION OF VERY COLD TEMPERATURES AND SUSTAINED NORTHWEST WINDS NEAR 10 MPH WILL DROP WIND CHILL VALUES INTO THE UPPER TEENS TO LOWER 20S FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD. THUS... A WIND CHILL ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED.
**PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS. THIS WILL RESULT IN FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN. IF YOU MUST VENTURE OUTDOORS... MAKE SURE YOU WEAR A HAT AND GLOVES.

  2. Oh burrrrrrrrr it makes me feel freezing. I wonder if the orange crop is surviving there? Do we need to stock up on OJ now before it turns into $3.00 for a quart?
