Out with the old...

Zane is unlike me in the sense that he doesn't need to regularly purge his possesions like i do.  Hence the reason he has a ridiculous amount of clothing, some dating back to his freshman year of high school.  That makes them, let's see... like 9-years old.  I can hardly keep things for 9-months.  Anyway, his neck grew an inch, and breathing was becoming a hazard.

To see all these shirts bound for Goodwill was positively euphoric.

  1. Oh dear. I can soooooo relate to Zane. It just seems like such a waste to throw away alll those clothes, even if they are 9+ years old!! I'm sure lacey could give you an interesting take on my reaction to her going through my closet last night and getting rid of literally half of my closet...six garbage bags stuffed full of clothes. :( It was a little hard to breathe I have to admit. And she likened it to the show "hoarders".. pshhhhhhhhhhhhhh I'm not THAT bad come on.

  2. Ha ha...I am a Zane...I mean why get rid of good useable clothes...or the sentimental ones that you gave me...even if my clothes are 20 years old. (I still have some of them...shhhhhhh), but I am getting better trying to "purge" the old even though they're still in great shape! But thanks to you I have a great new coverlet for one of the bedrooms and because of that I have been able to "move forward" with how I am going to decorate the OTHER spare room when it becomes empty...like maybe in May after Daniel graduates from school! I've decided on Maroon (burgundy), gold and either black or brown to accent it. I'm excited about it...got a new picture at Kirklands for that room...you can look it up on line...it's (huge)...but a burgundy colored iris....with a gold frame.

  3. Haha I was totally going to comment about Ash on this! The whole time I was like omg I wish Anna could be here. Her closet is still stuffed full! I don't think I've ever laughed so hard while getting rid of clothes.
