the Artist House: Part II

We enjoyed the dipping pool in the rain one afternoon.  Refreshing.
Charming isn't it?  Three days was just long enough to let myself begin to fantasize that this wonderful piece of historical goodness was really 'home.'  Everytime we walked thru the front door I fell a little deeper in love.
Not to mention these to-die-for french pastries that were delivered from the bakery around the corner every morning... Waking up without them is a crappy welcome back to Real Life.

We would find out later that KW has the most houses listed on the national register of historic homes of any US city.  This is a pleasant surprise for me.

On a sidenote, these past 3.5 years have exposed us to more history then i could've imagined.  It's not something we knew we were bargaining for upon moving to Florida, but we'll take it!  We're very thankful for all the opportunities that we've been given to learn about pieces of our country's past.
